Brilliant concerts. We saw him two nights running at Manchester and Preston. "The Look of Love" and everything else was wonderful. Even our five year old neice, Bethany, has been converted and loves "10 Great Songs"

Jimmy, your show in Cambridge was fabulous, despite you being unwell. We thank you for seeing it through to the end and hope you enjoy the rest of your tour. Yours, in friendship, Jan and Graham Kitteringham.
P.S.Your fans span many ages. Two rows in front of us, there sat a lovely lady of around 80yrs of age, her shopping bags were at her feet, she clapped and waved all evening. It was a joy to watch her!

Just got back from seeing the Big Man at Margate. Though his version of "You've Got A Friend" brought a tear to my eye, and "Big River" was outstanding, I felt he was just going through the motions. No sparkle, too much chat and I wish he had sorted his monitors, mikes etc. before the show and not during. Disapointing!

Didn't manage to get to see Jimmy this year in concert, but listened to and taped the broadcast on radio 2 last night - WOW it was fab. Will have to take a copy of that tape, cos its gonna get worn out!! Definitely WON'T be missing any more concerts in the Edinburgh area.
What a great guy!

Just to say what a brilliant concert on Saturday night, we certainly were not disappointed. At last 10 great songs has been released and it was certainly worth waiting for. I was a bit disappointed that 'the look of love' and 'what if god' wasn't included in the tracks as I thought they sounded brilliant live but maybe we can have that second album with the remainder of the songs you've recently recorded but not released. By the way you never did tell us that juicy story you promised!!!

I really enjoyed the gig on 21st April at the Derngate, Northampton. I was particularly touched by the tribute to Alan Hull who is one of my favourite artists and I was lucky enough to see him perform at Derngate in 1994.
I also enjoyed the touching version of 'You've got a friend'. In fact the whole evening was wonderful. Pity it was so cold!

The concert at Newcastle City Hall on 09/04/01 was without doubt one of the best gigs to date. Jim's voice was as powerful as it was soulful depending on the songs. His obvious delight at playing to a home crowd was a joy to see. Throughout the evening he talked to the audience with all the ease of friends on a night out. The set was varied and well thought out and I can't imagine anyone going home that night without a smile on their face or a tune in their head.
Thanks for a wonderful evening, count on it that all your hard work paid off.

Just got back from Sheffield. Fantastic performance as usual.
Sixth concert I've been to and never disappointed.
So near the front this time it was good to see faces and you can clearly see all the band members were really enjoying themselves. (Hope you weren't too hard on Graham going off into dreamland Jimmy!!!)
Great rendition of the Dusty Springfield number - I'm sure it will stay in the set to the end of the tour.
Well done Jimmy and never mind an OK Voice it's a GREAT ONE.

Saw Jimmy in concert last night at Harrogate International Centre. The show was good but not as good as the one I went to in York Barbican Centre April 1998. I think that it was more the Centre that cheesed me off as it was difficult parking in the underground car park and I have a wide car, It was too stuffy in the concert hall and I felt really hemmed in, the interval of 30 minutes was too long and I felt that Jimmy wasn't on long enough ! The worst thing for me was the staff within the centre, they just wanted people out of the building at the end and therefore Ifelt that if i didn't get my car from the car park that it would be locked in for the night. I don't know whether or not anyone else who visits this site was there
and if they can tell me if they waited around at the stage door and if
they saw him or got autographs etc. Iwas told that he left immediately
which Ifound it hard to believe as at the York & Middlesbrough
concerts I have been to Ihave always got Jimmy's autograph.

Saw The Great Man himself at Aberdeen's Music Hall last night. What a brilliant Gig! Been to all four of his Aberdeen tours, the first one at the AECC takes some beating, however last night's concert was by far the best one he has done in the Music Hall.
He played a few of our favourites from Crocodile Shoes etc, as well as many of the cover versions soon to be released on "ten great songs.....".
Wish I had the time/money to go and see one of his other dates on the tour! Those of you who have tickets for these dates are in for a real treat!
